Irish dancing is a traditional dance which orgiginates from Ireland. the dance can be divided into social dance and proformance dance. irish dancing popularised in 1994 by the wword famous show Riverdance it is noteable for its rapid leg and foot movements while body and arms are kept stationary. There are plenty or Irish dance competions the most competetive dances are solo. The solo stepdance is generally characterised by a controlled but not rigid upper body, straight arms, and quick, precise movements of the feet. The solo dances can either be in "soft shoe" or "hard shoe".
